CreativAir Gen II Nav, Position, and Strobe lights
Installation Recommendations
The instructions included with the products are very good,
however I wanted to outline some additional installation recommendations to get
the most of your new lights...
Gen II LED Navigation lights:
Light Orientation...
The most important thing for you to do is orient the lights correctly on your
aircraft... The Gen II Nav lights have 4 LEDs separated by a feature in
the package that should be installed in the vertical on your aircraft as shown
below...

*This installation orientation should be used with all Gen II
Nav, Position, and Strobe LEDs, and in all positions on your aircraft...
Installation Locations...
The wingtip red and green navigation lights should be installed in the FORWARD
FACING portion of the wingtip cutout only... This is required to achieve
the maximum amount of light in the directions dictated by the FAA regulations on
aircraft lighting... It is unfortunate that you will not be able to use my
wingtip mounted landing lights with my new Gen II LEDs, however I do have some
new LED landing lights that provide MUCH MORE light and use MUCH LESS current
draw.....http://www.creativair.com/genii-landing-lights-p-112.html
Gen II LED Tail Position/Strobe light:
Light Orientation...
The most important thing for you to do is orient the lights correctly on your
aircraft... The Gen II Nav lights have 4 LEDs separated by a feature in
the package that should be installed in the vertical on your aircraft as shown
below...

When installing the tail light on your aircraft you may use the
included adaptor plate to mount the light using the same mounting holes as the
Whelen A500... You simply need to open up the tail tip to allow the heat
sink portion of the Gen II light to fit into the tip and the adaptor plate to
fit on the end of the tip.....see below...

Gen II Strobe Syncing:
The Gen II strobes can be synced to flash together or alternately... You
should set your lights to the sync configuration you want before you do your
final install...
If you want all of your strobes to flash simultaneously then you do not need to
do anything as this is how they are configured from the factory... All you
need to do is connect the blue wires from all strobe heads together and they
will flash together...
If you want your wingtips and tail strobe to flash alternately then simply apply
power to the yellow and blue wires on the tail position/strobe unit at the same
time... The strobe will power up and start flashing with the default flash
pattern... Now you can connect all the blue wires together and the wings
will flash together, then the tail will flash...
Once you have all the blue wires connected, power up the strobes and apply power
to the blue wires to change the flash pattern...
